Salisbury Steak Garlic Mashed Potatoes Mushroom & Onion gravy

* Ingredients :

°one kg Minced meat
°1/4 cup diced onion
°an egg smoothie
°two tablespoons ketchup
°two tablespoon mustard said (separate)
°two tablespoon Worcestershire sauce (separate)
°1/3 cup Panko breadcrumbs
°one teaspoon kosher salt
°1/2 tsp black pepper
°two tablespoons bacon grease or olive oil (separated)
°a large onion, thinly sliced
°8 oz sliced mushrooms
°two tablespoons flour
°two cups gravy
°parsley to garnish

In a bowl, combine the ground beef, onion, egg, ketchup, a tablespoon of mustard, a tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce, panko breadcrumbs, and salt and pepper. Knead by hand until combined. Form 4 oval patties to give them a “steak” appearance.
Heat a cast iron skillet or large skillet until very hot. Add 1 tablespoon of fatty oil or bacon then breaded. Grill the patties until crispy brown on each side. Several minutes until there is no more rose inside. Remove it from the pan and set it aside on a paper towel and cover to keep warm.
Add the other tablespoon of fatty oil or bacon to the skillet and sauté the onion until golden over medium heat. Add the mushrooms, remaining tablespoon of mustard and Worcestershire sauce and cook for several minutes. The mushrooms will release water, so cook the mixture for several minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
Sprinkle flour over everything and stir, cook for another minute. Slowly add the beef broth and stir to combine and lower the heat to low. Simmer for several minutes, the sauce will thicken. Season as desired.
Add the “fillets” to the pan and boil them in the sauce. Cover and cook 2 to 3 minutes to heat through. Serve over mashed potatoes and spoon the onion and mushroom sauce over each salisbury steak. Sprinkle with parsley for garnish.

Enjoy !
