Slow Cooker Pineapple Barbecue Meatballs


°1 lb (454g) extra lean ground beef
°1 small white onion chopped
°1/4 tsp. mustard powder
°1/4 tsp. onion powder
°1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
°1/4 tsp. paprika
°A few drops of smoked hickory sauce (optional)
°Salt and pepper (to taste)
+Barbecue sauce
°3/4 cup ketchup
°3/4 cup apricot compote
°1/4 cup cider vinegar
°2 tbsp. chopped chives
°2 tbsp. molasses
°1 C. maple syrup
°1 C. Dijon mustard
°1/2 tsp. chili powder
°1/2 tsp. garlic powder
°1 minced garlic clove
°1/2 tsp. tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
°Pepper (to taste)
°Hot sauce (to taste)


Mix all the ingredients in a bowl. Form meatballs with the preparation then brown them in a pan with a little olive oil.
Add the meatballs to an ovenproof casserole OR slow cooker.
In a slow cooker: cook on low for 6 to 8 hours (depending on the size of your meatballs) In the oven: cook for about 1 hour at 350F
+Barbecue sauce
Mix all the ingredients and adjust the seasoning if necessary.
Pour the sauce over the meatballs
