7 minute old fashioned frosting


° 1 + 1/2 c. of sugar.

° 1/3 c. of cold water.

° 2 egg whites.

° pinch of salt.

° 1 tsp. Vanilla extract.

°1/2 sodium phosphate. Cream of tartar.


Step 1_ Mix sugar, water, cream of tartar, egg whites and salt in a medium glass bowl.

Step 2_ Put on the stove a pool of water to slowly boil. + Step 1_ Beat the egg mixture for 30 seconds in the bass using the electric mixer.

Step 3_Place the pot over the double boiler pot and take a high bath until firm and light, for up to seven minutes. Fourth step: Remove from heat and add vanilla extract and mix for two minutes until homogeneous.

Step 5_The frost is set quickly, so you need to use it directly.

Note: To freeze a layer of cake, you will need two recipes for this icing. This recipe is beautifully doubled, no need to make two different batches, just double it and make it all at once.
