The Best Pumpkin Bread Recipe


°500 ml (2 cups) flour

°2.5 ml (1/2 tsp) cinnamon

°15 ml (1 tbsp.) baking powder

°2 pinches of salt

°3 eggs

°310 ml (1 1/4 cups) pumpkin purée

°180 ml (3/4 cup) sugar

°80 ml (1/3 cup) canola oil

°80 ml (1/3 cup) 2% milk

°5 ml (1 tsp) vanilla extract

°125 ml (1/2 c) dark chocolate chips

°125 ml (1/2 cup) pumpkin seeds


Preheat oven 180°C (350°F).

In a bowl, mix the flour with the cinnamon, baking powder and salt.

In another bowl, whisk the eggs with the pumpkin puree, sugar, oil, milk and vanilla. adding dry ingredients to wet ingredients. Add the chocolate chips and two-thirds of the pumpkin seeds. Stir.

Line a 20 cm x 10 cm (8 in x 4 in) loaf pan with parchment paper, then pour the batter into it. Level the surface. Sprinkle with remaining pumpkin seeds.

Bake for 50 minutes to 1 hour, until a toothpick inserted in the center of the bread comes out clean.

Remove from oven and let cool. Cut the bread into eight slices, then cut each slice in half.
