SLICED BAKED POTATOES1

 


*TO PREPARE BAKED POTATO SLICES, YOU WILL NEED THE FOLLOWING INGREDIENTS:

°4 large russet potatoes.
°2 tablespoons of olive oil.
°2 cloves of garlic, minced.
°1 teaspoon of dried thyme. 
°1 teaspoon of dried rosemary.
°Salt and pepper to taste.

+Optional toppings; grated cheese, chopped bacon or chopped green onions.

* Methods : 

1st step
Prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper or aluminum foil and preheating your oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit (220 degrees Celsius).
2nd stage
Remove any dirt or debris from the potatoes by washing them well under running water. Using clean towel to pat them dry.
3rd step
Place a potato on a cutting board, then slice the entire length of the potato, keeping the slices thin and evenly spaced, but do not cut the potato completely. The distance between each slice should be about 1/8 inch (3 mm). Proceed in the same way with the rest of the potatoes.
4th step
In a small bowl, combine olive oil, minced garlic, dried thyme, dried rosemary, salt and pepper. Create a delicious combination of oils by carefully combining the ingredients.
5th step
Be careful to get between the potato slices to get an even distribution of flavor when you generously coat them with the oil mixture. You can use a pastry brush or your hands to do this.
6th step
When placing the potatoes on the prepared baking sheet, make sure they are evenly spaced and not touching each other. For this reason, they will crunch evenly.
7th step
Bake the potatoes in an oven that has been preheated for about fifty to sixty minutes, or until they are golden in color and crispy on the outside. Keep an eye on the potatoes as they near the end of the cooking process, as the time they need to cook can vary depending on their size and thickness.
8th step
Once the potatoes are cooked, remove them from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes before handling them. As a result, they may stiffen somewhat, which will make them easier to handle.
9th step
If desired, you can top the baked potato slices with your favorite toppings, such as shredded cheese, chopped bacon, or chopped green onions. However, this step is optional. You are free to experiment with a variety of toppings and tastes, as well as exercise your creative side.
10th step
You can serve the hot sliced baked potatoes as a side dish to accompany your favorite main meal, or you can eat them on their own as a delicious snack.
