Chorizo Spaghetti Lasagna Sauce



+cooking spray
°16 oz. macaroni
°2 tbsp. Extra virgin olive oil
°1 medium-sized onion, finely chopped
°2 minced garlic cloves
°1 lb. minced meat
°kosher salt
°Freshly ground black pepper
°1 c. Italian seasoning
°1 can (28 ounces) crushed tomatoes
°1/2 tsp. chopped basil
°1 e. Grated mozzarella cheese
°1/4 tsp. Freshly grated parmesan cheese
°Freshly chopped parsley for garnish


Step 1
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Greased medium baking pan with cook spray. Cooking pasta according to pack directions until al dente, drain, & set apart.
The second step
Meanwhile, in a large skillet over medium heat, heat the oil. Adding onion and cook until soft also translucent, about 5 mn. Add garlic and cook until fragrant, 1 minute. Adding ground beef, seasoning with salt, pepper, & Italian seasoning, and cook until no longer pink, about 8 mn. Drain the fat into a paper towel-lined bowl and return to the skillet. Adding crush tomatoes and basil, and simmer to reduced, about 10 minutes. Seasoning with more salt also pepper to taste.
Step 3
Tossing with spaghetti, then transfering to a baking dish & top with mozzarella and Parmesan. Bake until cheese melts and pasta is hot, about 20 minutes.
Step 4
Garnished with parsley and serving.
