Texas Tornado Cake is an old-fashioned classic recipe. I've also seen it called Do Nothing Cake because you literally flip and bake! Since the recipe was invented in the 1940's when baking called for quite a bit of measuring and weighing, this cake was as close to "doing nothing" as it gets!

Tornado Cake is moist cake filled with pineapple and top with sweet coconut frosting. Although I've never seen it described as a poke cake (you know I love poke cake!), I do it this way, punching holes in the cake before pouring the topping over it so all that flavor can be absorbed.
