Grandmother’s Buttermilk Cornbread

8 Tbsp. unsalted butter

½ C. granulated sugar

1 C. yellow cornmeal

2 large eggs

1 C. buttermilk

1 tsp. baking soda

1 C. all-purpose flour

A pinch of salt

Steps to Craft Nana's Special Cornbread

Preheat your oven to 375°F.

In a mixing bowl, combine all ingredients, keeping the butter aside, until you get a creamy consistency.

Take an oven-safe skillet and melt the butter over medium heat on the stovetop.

Once melted, remove from heat. Slowly integrate the batter with the melted butter, whisking until thoroughly combined.

Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes or until it boasts a golden-brown hue and is baked to perfection.

Relish this delightful cornbread with your favorite stew or simply on its own with a dollop of butter. Remember, every bite is a trip down memory lane. Enjoy!
