He owns a Bosendorfer piano, which he plays in his basement to avoid disturbing others. Additionally, Hopkins has found a passion for painting, inspired by his wife who rediscovered some of his old drawings. He now sells his artwork, which has garnered a significant market.
Despite his eventual success, Hopkins faced challenges in his early life, particularly in school. He struggled academically in his hometown of Port Talbot, which he attributes possibly to dyslexia, Attention Deficit Disorder, or simply being a problematic student. “I was pathetic at school... bottom of the class at everything," he recalls. However, these challenges only fueled his determination to excel in other areas, leading him to a distinguished career in the arts.
Sir Anthony Hopkins, a testament to the power of perseverance and passion, continues to inspire through his multifaceted talents in acting, music, and painting.
