Had a few requests for the gifts I made last year. Easy peasy on the stove. Gonna do a repeat.

2 cups of walnuts

½ cup of granulated sugar

2 tablespoons of unsalted butter

½ cup of water

3 tablespoons of brown sugar

¼ teaspoon of salt

A dash of cinnamon (optional)

Prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a medium skillet, combine walnuts, both sugars, butter, water, and cinnamon if using.

Cook over high heat, stirring constantly. The sugar should melt and form a caramel coating in about 5 minutes.

Spread the coated walnuts on the baking sheet in a single layer to cool. Once cooled, break them apart.

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to two weeks (if they last that long!).

These quick candied walnuts are a simple yet impressive treat. They are perfect for satisfying your sweet cravings or wowing your friends and family on any occasion. Save this recipe and enjoy the pleasure of making and indulging in these deliciously addictive sweet treats.
